Google's "Year in Search" List

10. 'How to get boogie down emote'

I don't get Fortnite, but those teens do! I've seen the popular dance moves that this "boogie down emote" thing generated...but I still don't get it. Here's an hours worth of boogi-ing down... :)

9. How to screen record

Apparently Apple doesn't give you those directions, which makes sense. I googled this, but ONLY because I have Snapchat and my son's babysitter sends me cute video snaps that I want and I can't keep UNLESS I screen record. Is that weird?...I hope not.

8. 'How to buy Bitcoin'

I don't even know what Bitcoin is...and if you also don't...here's Dictionary.com's definition:

"a type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank."

"bitcoin has become a hot commodity among speculators"

7. 'How to play Powerball'

Go get a ticket at a gas station?

6. 'How to get the old Snapchat back'

I'm sure this was popular. I was also infuriated at the Snapchat update, but I never googled how to get the old version back. I simply just adapted.

5. 'How to turn off automatic updates'

Yes...this would be nice to know how to do at times. But for your technology to run optimally you should probably update it even though some updates are a huge pain.

4. 'How to buy Ripple'

I have no clue what Ripple is and when I just googled it, I got even more confused. It must be something you can invest in. If you want more info on Ripple...read it here

3. 'How to play Mega Millions'

Again...go buy a ticket at a gas station?

2. 'How to register to vote'

1. 'How to vote'

These last two aren't surprising. A lot of people turned up to vote in the midterm elections, which is AWESOME.
