Britney Spears' Longtime Manager Says She May Never Perform Again

Britney Spears' days as a performer may be coming to an end, according to her longtime manager Larry Rudolph.

On Wednesday (May 15), TMZ received word from sources that the "Womanizer" singer is reportedly in neither the "mental or physical shape" to proceed with rehearsals for her "Domination" Las Vegas residency, which was postponed in January in light of her father Jamie Spears' dire health condition after suffering a near-fatal colon rupture.

Now Larry Rudolph, Spears' longtime manager, is telling the celebrity gossip outlet that, inferring from the information of her situation, the pop star should never perform again.

Rudolph told TMZ: "As the person who guides her career — based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis — from what I have gathered it's clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again."

The superstar is just a few weeks fresh out of her 30-day stint at a mental health facility. Spears was cleared and said to be "doing really well" since then, though her docs are still trying to concoct the "Work" musician a proper mix of medications that will keep her stable, as her old meds may have triggered her crisis.

The superstar's manager touched on this being one of the contributing factors that led Spears to pull out of her residency. "It was the perfect storm," Rudolph told TMZ. "We had to pull her show because her meds stopped working and she was distraught over her dad's illness."

Additionally, Rudolph adds that Spears has always made the decisions of when and whether or not she wanted to continue working. However, if it was up to him, he wouldn't want her to work again until she's "physically, mentally and passionately" prepared — even if that time never comes.

"I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work," Rudolph continued. "And, if she ever does want to work again, I'm here to tell her if it's a good idea or a bad idea."

As of yet, Spears appeared at a private court hearing with her mother, Lynne, last Friday (May 10) to seek "certain freedoms" under her conservatorship.
