This touching letter from Bri at the Costco in La Vista, tells how we can team up and help out our good friends at Omaha Children's Hospital & Medical Center.
Hi my name is Bri Krambeck and I work for Costco at the Lavista store location. I lost one of my own babies at Children's and will forever be in their debt. Their staff and nurses gave me and my child the best care I could have asked for. Even though he did not make it, I have always been so very grateful to have both Children's and Methodist here in Omaha.
Every year for the entire month of May, Costco partners with Children's Hospital and Methodist Hospital, to fill a specific need they have. Last year it was kitchens in the "Carolyn Scott Rainbow House". This year it is TWO new, badly needed NICU's. They have never asked us for anything this big before and their confidence in our ability to in 30 days raise $100,000 is making me look beyond our normal ways we have raised funds in the past.
This year, besides donating at the registers and pasting balloons up all over the place, we have added partner levels as well.
Platinum level is $1,000 and buys you a very fancy plaque that is hung in our main public area for a full year. The plaque will have the business name and logo on it.
$500 buys a 3x6 foot balloon that hangs above the registers and is professionally printed front and back with the business advertising. It will hang up in Costco for the entire month of May.
Everything else is as usual and buys them the smaller balloons. The beauty of this is that it is all tax deductible. They get a receipt for the IRS and 100% of what they gave goes locally to help the babies. Every dollar that people donate, even as they check out, shows on their receipts as a tax deductible donation. We do appreciate your time and anything you are willing to do to help our efforts in this project.
