Whether By Accident or On Purpose, This is Why Parents Should Check All Halloween Candy
Whether it's the "Dad is gonna have to taste all the candy" joke or the "needle found in candy" myth (BTW that actually happened), parents checking their kids' candy is no laughing matter and here's why.
According to the Sun Journal, Jason Levesque of Auburn, Maine, man found a sewing needle in a fun size Snickers bar that one of his kids received in their trick or treat container. Outside of urban legends, Jason said he'd never thought this had actually happened.
So apparently there is candy that actually looks like the stuff Heisenberg sold in 'Breaking Bad'. However, an eight-year old girl from Hercules, CA actually found 0.1 grams of crystal meth in her bag. UGH!
SHARD OF GLASS
On parts of the East Coast, instead of trick-or-treating they call it "Beggar's Night". According to Buffalo News in New York, a woman found a shard of glass inside a Tootsie Pop.
An Ohio woman found bullets inside boxes of her son's Milk Duds. Each mini-box contained three bullets for a .22 caliber hand gun. The worst part: The candy was distributed by the kid's preschool.
