This is just ridiculous.
I'm a fan of The Walking Dead. We all know that **SPOILER ALERT** Negan kills Abraham and Glenn at the beginning of this season. The scene was pretty infamous. Negan pointing his bat, Lucille, at each member of our beloved group chanting the "eeny meeny miny moe" rhyme we all did before we played hide and seek when we were kids.
Well, the below shirt had to be pulled from a UK department store because apparently it's racist.
Because apparently there were versions of the "eeny meeny miny moe" rhyme used A CENTURY AGO that said "catch a N-bomb by his toe" instead of "catch a tiger by his toe."
Anyone else feel like that's totally stretching for a reason to be offended? Especially when the season premiere originally aired in October and someone is JUST NOW getting offended by it?
I'm not racist. I accept everyone by who they are when I first meet them regardless of skin color, gender, age, political views etc. I would never buy anything that promoted racism. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so if you think I'm being insensitive, that's OK. Do I think this shirt is racist? NO! Do I think someone was stretching for a reason to be offended? YES.
Personally, this shirt wouldn't have even been in my top picks, so I'm not that upset that it got pulled. But, seriously?
Do you think this shirt should have been pulled off the shelves?
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan in the series, and I are on the same page.
