So, about a month ago I blogged about the remake of Dirty Dancing. I remained a wee bit hopeful a lot a bit skeptical.
Last night and I was watching the tube and realized that it was actually ON at the moment, so I flipped over to it.
It was literally ...THE WORST THING EVER. EVAAAAR!
You can just get the sense of general awfulness from the trailer below...
Granted, I didn't know it was a "re-imagining," so I didn't expect there to be A LOT OF ADDED songs, additional story lines that didn't add to the story at all, AND we would find out what happened to Johnny and Baby at the end, but I was still not okay with this remake at all.
The moment I was DONE was when they remade Patrick Swayze's "She's Like The Wind" and put a house beat under it. FOR SHAME, ABC! FOR. SHAME.
Overall, I don't think it went over well with anyone.
I was live tweeting it, and all I did was retweet what everyone else was saying because they took the words right out of my mouth.

And in case you want a play by play of this offensive attempt at remaking a classic...Rolling Stone has you covered here.
