***📢 Announcing the NEW Boys Town National Research Hospital Volunteer Program!
The Volunteer Program offers a variety of options to fit the skills of both teens and adults. Some of the tasks may include:
- Greeting and escorting patients
- Serving as an internal courier or runner for clinic staff
- Engaging patients in waiting room with interactive activities
- Making rounds with the activity cart (coloring, books, crafts) or coffee cart
- Providing clerical support
- Reading to patients
- Taking patients on wagon rides
- Cleaning toys
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age and able to transport themselves or acquire transportation to Boys Town National Research Hospital at 139th and Pacific Street
- Volunteer a minimum of two hours each week, with a total of eight hours a month
- If needed, exceptions can be made for special circumstances (vacations, illness, etc.)
- Volunteers between the ages of 16 and 18 are asked to make an initial commitment of 6 months and volunteers over 19 are asked to make an initial commitment of 1 year
