Abby Huntsman Reportedly Exiting 'The View' Due To Its Toxic Environment

The View's Abby Huntsman said that she was leaving the talk show to join her father, Jon Huntsman Jr., on his Utah gubernatorial campaign, but that doesn't seem to be the whole story.

As per multiple insiders close to CNN Business, Huntsman, 33, has decided to exit the show because of a toxic work environment, which involves her soured relationship with co-host Meghan McCain, 35. While the two come from strong Republican families and were reportedly allies at one point, the tension has become too much, particularly after Huntsman's on-air joy for her children became "insensitive" for McCain. In case you weren't aware, McCain wrote an op-ed for The New York Times in 2019 about her miscarriage and has continued talk about fertility challenges, but Huntsman's talk about her own children was apparently too much.

"Abby was sick of being berated by Meghan for perceived slights," one source revealed. "She ultimately decided she didn't need this job and it wasn't worthĀ it."

While the two hosts have apparently made up since, Huntsman's life at the ABC talk show has been unfortunate for months now. "Meghan has been miserable there for quite some time, and not because of Abby. She wishes her nothing but the best," another source close to McCain revealed.

During the Monday episode of the morning show, Huntsman broke the news, describing the exit as "a hard thing to do." "This is always such a hard thing to do," she told viewers. "And especially this table because this is a really special table. The most iconic show I think on television and the smartest women that I've ever worked with. But today I'm saying goodbye."
