Gov. Gavin Newsom just announced a new initiative where students in California are able to get 24/7 FREE online tutoring and homework help. Students can go to California's website or any public library websites to get live help with homework or online tutoring any time of the day.
"I think it's a game changer, I really am just excited to see that students, K-12, anybody has access to the online tutoring," Maureen Scharberg, the dean of academic programs and services for Cal State East Bay said.
According to ABC 7, the initiative also includes a $254 million grant to renovate the public libraries across California. The programs offers help with Math, Language Arts and other K-12 core subjects in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog. This is so huge and such great news! Newsom also said that the program has no age limit and adult students are able to get help with writing assistance, citizenship resources and other tools. Click here to learn more about the program.
